We work with a number of people and organisations to create and run our unique cycle rides and tours. We are grateful for their help and enthusiastic support for our plans to get more people out of their cars and off the rails onto a bike, from where they can experience and enjoy all that this wonderful part of the world has to offer.

And its not just the scenery... We boast some of the finest local food producers in the UK and we have the restaurants, hotels and pubs to go with them. So when you've enjoyed your day on a bike working up an appetite for good food you'll be spoilt for choice.

The Settle-Carlisle Railway

Welcome to England's most scenic railway – a line steeped in history but with a regular scheduled service, forming part of the National Rail Network, allowing access to the area and views of some of the finest scenery in Britain.

The 72 mile route from Settle to Carlisle takes you on a journey through the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, over the 24 arches of the Ribblehead Viaduct before plunging into the longest tunnel on the line at Blea Moor. Emerging onto the side of Dentdale, the line leaves the Dales at Garsdale and makes it way through the gentle, lush rolling hills of the Eden Valley, with rural villages and market towns before arriving at the great border city of Carlisle.

	Forest of Bowland AONB The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is a nationally protected landscape and internationally important for its heather moorland, blanket bog and rare birds. The AONB is managed by a partnership of landowners, farmers, voluntary organisations, wildlife groups, recreation groups, local councils and government agencies, who work to protect, conserve and enhance the natural and cultural heritage of this special area. 			Yorkshire Dales National Park The Yorkshire Dales National Park covers some of England's most beautiful and inspiring countryside. Spread across 1,773 square kilometres, the Park is home to over 20,000 residents and welcomes around nine million visitors every year. Described as wild, expansive, tranquil, awesome and even bleak, the Park is one of the finest upland areas of Britain. It provides a fantastic outdoor arena for recreation and relaxation. 	Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Friends of the Settle Carlisle Line were formed in 1981 to campaign against a proposal to close this famous historic and scenic route, and in 1989 the Government decided that the line must remain open.
